Reconsider punk with Arnolfini’s Moving Targets summer programme

Gigs, radio shows, performance and exhibitions propel the art institution’s season of challenging events

Arnolfini’s summer season, Moving Targets, aims to ask questions around the unstable, volatile and unpredictable ethos of punk.

Already the gallery has hosted a death ballet, shows from feminist bands, and a night of DIY films, and the rest of the programme looks just as exciting. The highlights include a “compelling mess” of a musical from drag king Rachael Clerke, a radio show from gal-dem, and a talk discussing the preservation of subcultures.

The Arnolfini is also hosting a participatory zine-making project taking place in the gallery throughout the summer where you can go and create your own publication in the gallery space. You can also gain inspiration from a zine reference library set up in the gallery’s main space.

Moving Targets runs at the Arnolfini until 11 September. For more information, the full programme and tickets, check out the website.
