Find out what’s going on at Cardiff Contemporary Visual Arts Festival

The Welsh capital’s festival of international contemporary arts takes place between Thursday 20 October – Saturday 19 November 2016

The Cardiff Contemporary Visual Arts Festival is just around the corner now and there’s loads to see and do across the month long event. 2016’s theme is communication and the festival’s official title Are You Ready? is a reference to the first ever radio broadcast made by Guglielmo Marconi. As such the programme this year consists of exhibitions, installations and more influenced by the broadcast with many of the events taking place at The Angel a new hub which been developed to include five new gallery spaces across a derelict floor underneath the city’s Angel Hotel.

The artists and performers confirmed so far include Stewart Lee, Andy Fung, Megan Broadmeadow, Laura Ford, Roman Štětina, Robert Montgomery, Heather and Ivan Morison, Anthony Shapland, Rob Smith and Charles Danby, tactileBOSCH, Spit & Sawdust with Edwin Burdis and a collaboration between Richard James and Angharad Van Rjiswijk.
