The festival is set to bring a truly diverse and original lineup to a Welsh holiday camp next April

If musical diversity is key to your festival experience you need look no further than North Wales’ Safe As Milk. The three-day festival, organised by the good folks of TUSK and alt.vinyl, takes place at Pontins Holiday Park, Prestatyn from 21 – 23 April next year and the lineup is starting to look like a serious contender for the most eclectic weekender we’ve ever seen.

They’ve already announced folk legend Shirley Collins, who’ll be playing a rare live set following the imminent release of her first album in 38 years, a newly invigorated iteration of post-punk titans This Heat – billed as This Is Not This Heat – featuring a mix of original members as well as guests like Thurston Moore & Alexis Taylor, and a host of others including The Residents, OOIOO and Grouper.

Today they’ve added to the lineup with a host of new names including UK experimental kingpin Actress, current Crack Magazine cover star GAIKA, Blackest Ever Black mainstay Carla Dal Forno, krautrock innovator Michael Rother and lauded British composer Anna Meredith. They’ll also be joined by Ata Kak, Chrome, Circle, Mark Ernestus Ndagga, Moor Mother, Princess Nokia and Ulver.
