Head of New Business

We are looking for a Head of New Business to join our team and develop our commercial offering and outbound sales strategy. We believe our brand is a home for culture fans who listen closely, notice details, buy tickets and value quality control. Partnering with brands and organisations is essential in sustaining what we do and will allow us to invest in our people, values and brand. This is a new role and presents exciting opportunities for the right person.

All applicants will understand our role in the modern media landscape and be able to develop relationships within new markets, whether that’s direct-to-brand or with media agencies. 

Role

  • Self-starter to lead on new business revenue generation and growth across the company
  • Set out sales strategy to new sectors and categories 
  • Work towards pre-agreed targets for revenue, leads, conversion and retention
  • Pitching and closing complex multi-channel ideas to agencies and brands
  • Collaborating to ideate and produce impactful media plans for partnership projects
  • Devise new formats with our content team for sponsorship 
  • Effective ambassador and networker for the brand in business meetings with media agencies and brands
  • Proactively identify commercial growth areas with targeting, plans and measurable deliverables 
  • Produce contracting and agreements for all our work  
  • Provide regular sales reporting to the wider commercial team and leadership
  • Accurate budgeting for all projects, ensuring cost projections are met 
  • Provide regular feedback on individual team targets and performance
  • Point of contact for the wider team to ensure best practice is followed
  • Ensure clear work plans are developed to meet agreements with clients

Requirements 

  • Proven track record with 5-7 years experience working with a media agency or within a media agency 
  • Strong understanding of how content partnerships work
  • Broad knowledge of the culture which we operate within 
  • A wide-ranging contact book across brands and agencies 
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and ability to multi-task across many projects and clients
  • Highly skilled in effective new business sales
  • Able to keep to strict deadlines within a fast-paced working environment  
  • Excellent teamwork to achieve results
  • Understanding of balance between revenue and integrity of Crack Magazine’s output when taking briefs and pitching to partners
  • Proactive self starter and finisher

 

Partnerships Manager

We are looking for a Partnerships Manager to join our team and help develop our commercial offering. We believe our magazine is a home for culture fans who listen closely, notice details, buy tickets and value quality control. Partnering with brands and organisations is essential in sustaining what we do and will allow us to invest in our people, values and brand. It also allows us to be more ambitious with projects. 

All applicants will understand our role in the modern media landscape to meet marketers’ needs and be able to develop relationships within new markets, whether that’s direct-to-brand or with media agencies. 

Role

  • Contact potential partnership clients to offer solutions via phone, email, video calls and IRL meetings
  • Work towards a pre-agreed quarterly revenue target 
  • Support the Head of New Business with proposal decks and pitches 
  • Effective ambassador and networker for the brand in new business meetings with media agencies and brands
  • Development of new leads across existing client base 
  • Account management of existing brand partners 
  • Collaborating to ideate and produce impactful media plans for partnership projects 
  • Excellent teamwork to achieve results
  • Providing regular reporting to wider team and directors 

Requirements 

  • 2-3 years experience in a media or partnerships role in the culture sector
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and ability to multi-task across many clients 
  • Existing contacts across brands and media agencies
  • Able to keep to strict deadlines 
  • Skilled in client service, project and account management 
  • Keen follower of media, content, social, marketing and technology
