March Playlist

A tricky part of putting together these monthly playlists is finding a good opener. You’ve got to start with a bang, something that’s going to suppress the listener’s temptation to drift towards one of the twelve other tabs they’ve got open and stick with us for 20 tracks. Fortunately, the apocalypse-baiting post-rock titans Swans recently unleashed a lustful, stomping comeback track entitled A Little God In My Hands. That’ll do.

Elsewhere, the playlist includes new material from rising Bristol songwriter Oliver Wilde, a track from Fatima Al Qadiri’s forthcoming Asia-themed album, Lee Bannon’s jungle rework of a track which the white-trousered crotch-planter Miguel recorded for the Girls soundtrack, and a Young Scooter posse cut featuring Future, Juicy J and Young Thug among the 20 tracks. And, to cap it all off, we went and cramped our own style by including that Todd Terje and Brian Ferry collaboration. Enjoy.
