God Damn – When The Wind Blows

When we booked Black Country two piece God Damn for Simple Things Festival we booked them on the strength of their skull crushing records. When they showed up and blew us away we realised we were faced with a force to be reckoned with.

Their barrage of menacing, visceral noise bulldozes its way in and – like an accidental whiff on a permanent marker – pretty much obliterates every brain cell that dares to stand in its way.

When The Wind Blows is their latest effort for One Little Indian and what an effort it is. A gloomy, surging bass line chugs beneath screeching, moaned vocals and pounding, throbbing drums. We know Horrorpunk is not a fashionable word but when we listen to God Damn it’s hard to think of a more suitable one to describe the frankly evil sounding duo. Take the trip below via SoundCloud.
