Sónar Barcelona has made its first artist announcement for 2019 – and a new date for the festival.
Sónar Barcelona is set to celebrate its 26th edition at Fira Montjuïc de Barcelona and Gran Via de L’Hospitalet on 18-20 July, a full month on from its usual June dates. Enlisting a number of heavyweights for the line-up, the festival confirms shows from Skepta, A$AP Rocky and Paul Kalkbrenner.
Actress is set to bring his audiovisual show to the festival with A.I. sprite Young Paint, and rising Tunisian producer Deena Abdelwahed will be performing her debut LP Khonnar live with an audiovisual set. Those also merging visuals with their sounds include Lotic and Murlo. They’re joined by the likes of Octavian and Bad Gyal on the programme, which also confirmed sets from Ross from Friends, Slikback, Floating Points, Dixon and more.
