Slick Shoota’s 48 Hour Mixtape: The Making Of

Oslo bass-music producer and scene figurehead Slick Shoota is the latest man to take on the Pepsi Max and Noisey 48 Hour Mixtape challenge – this time in his native home of Oslo.

As part of their continued mission to challenge artists to create a 48 hour mixtape in some of the world’s most iconic festival cities, Slick Shoota used the hype and energy of Norway’s music scene at its biggest festival Oya in order to get the best results from his tape.

Enlisting the best of Norwegian underground musical talent in the form of Drippin, Purrpurr Purple, Boska and Samsaya to help him complete his challenge, the blonde-haired producer spent a sleepless two days hot-footing it round Oslo in order to record natural sounds, as well as time in the studio mastering his creations.

Following in the footsteps of Murkage Dave and JME, watch Slick Shoota’s video above and see the result of the challenge over on Noisey now.
