Drizzy’s fifth studio album Scorpion has landed today.
And in celebration of the release, Spotify – working with Republic, Cash Money and Young Money Records – has unveiled its first ever artist takeover, making Champagne Papi the subject of every playlist today. Dubbed Scorpion SZN, the takeover marks the first time a solo artist has taken over several Spotify playlists in one day.
Scorpion serves the follow-up to 2017’s playlist project More Life. It features the singles Nice For What and God’s Plan. Apple Music’s editor’s notes were written by the rapper himself, who wrote, “I hate when Drake raps. Drake sings too much. Drake is a pop artist. Drake doesn’t even write his own songs. Drake took an l. Drake didn’t start from the bottom. Drake is finished.”
“I like Drake’s older stuff. Drake makes music for girls. Drake thinks he’s Jamaican. Drake is an actor. Drake changed. Anybody else > Drake …. Yeah yeah we know.”
“Guess we’ll just go and do an exclusive deal with Apple again, then.” “No, wait! There must be something we can offer you.” “Okay. How about… everything.” pic.twitter.com/ikl2vu9Xsd
