At the end of last week, Selby posted on her account that Stormzy had gifted her £2000 and also privately messaged her, praising her for her hard work.

“You’re doing an amazing job I promise you!!” he writes, “Every post is more inspiring than the one before it’s very powerful what you’re doing so don’t stop!”

Selby shared the news on her account along with a video of her telling Elliot about the news over the phone. In her caption, Selby writes, “Stormzy sends me a Christmas gift to treat Elliot and have an amazing three days together […] We’re doing good. Stormzy is someone we’ve always been a huge fan of, he’s helped so many people and speaks the truth, loudly and proudly. He’s felt love and compassion towards our story, just as you all have. I wanted to thank him for his generosity, alongside everyone who has been there for us. I’m feeling a lot of love for you all.”

Images and Videos: Stormzy sends me a Christmas gift to treat Elliot and have an amazing three days together. We’re blown away by the love and support everyone has shown us. I wanted Elliot to feel accepted when he came out of prison so we began to talk through the stigma and multi-layered complications of addiction, prison and mental health. Every person following has been a part of this battle, sending encouraging messages, sharing and reaching out. I’m overwhelmed, in the best possible way. We’re doing good. @stormzy is someone we’ve always been a huge fan of, he’s helped so many people and speaks the truth, loudly and proudly. He’s felt love and compassion towards our story, just as you all have. I wanted to thank him for his generosity, alongside everyone who has been there for us. I’m feeling a lot of love for you all. When/if you’re rushing around the shops and preparing for Christmas, remember that it’s all about love. Love and support is there if you reach out for it. I can’t wait to have Elliot home, I’m buzzing. I love being alive, it’s pretty amazing. Thank you every single one of you 💛 #love #support #christmas #accepted #stigma #addiction #recovery #mentalhealth #prison #hope #compassion #stormzy #stormzyofficial #share #reachout #passiton #togetherwecandoit #friends #care #breakthestigma #morecroissants #bestchristmasever
