Amplify Berlin has announced its mentors for 2020.

A mentoring programme designed to support emerging musicians in the German capital, Amplify Berlin will host its fourth semester next year and welcomes Catnapp, Colin Self, Marie Davidson, James Young (Darkstar) and Yuri Landman as project mentors.

First conceived by ACUD Macht Neu, the programme will take place at Kunsthaus ACUD in Berlin-Mitte from March to July 2020. Kunsthaus ACUD houses a clubbing space, a multidisciplinary arts space and more. The programme, which is now just over a year old and funded until 2021, takes the form of a month-long residency, in which mentees can benefit from a focused working environment with access to creative resources and the guidance of a mentor.

Furthermore, Amplify Berlin has announced its stage at CTM Festival next year. Oliver Bauerman from CTM Festival said, “The fact that such an important creative development format for young electronic musicians as Amplify Berlin will be given a prominent place at one of the world’s most important festivals for electronic and experimental music is only a logical consequence for me.”

Applications for the fourth semester (March to July 2020) are open now and will close on 15 December. Full details of the programme can be found here.
