Party collective Alfresco Disco have forged a serious reputation in their native city of Bristol, throwing clandestine raves in surprising locations as varied as trampoline parks, railway tunnels, and once, notoriously, Weston pier.

Their latest event popped up almost bang-slap in the city centre, materialising overnight in an adventure playground after a frenetic late-evening load in. With a selection of traders and live bands from the surrounding St. Pauls neighbourhood and talented resident DJs holding down the daytime programme, the party was capped off with a surprise set from Berlin eclecticist Mr. Ties.

An all-day rave in a children’s playground might sound like the stuff of Daily Mail headline nightmares, but this was a party with a cause, raising over £5k for the playground and its associated community group. Check out a selection of photos from the event below.
