In Photos: Field Day 2018

This year, one of London’s largest annual festivals upped sticks and moved from its former home at Victoria Park, setting up south of the river, in Brockwell Park. The event staged a roster of Crack Magazine favourites across two days: from Helena Hauff to Erykah Badu and Thundercat.

For the 2018 edition, Crack Magazine took over the Shacklewell Arms stage on the Saturday. Fresh from releasing the new single I Can Speak Spanish the day before, Jimothy Lacoste opened proceedings. Reminding Londoners not to be stressed and sad, and also complaining about tube ticket prices, the viral YouTube rapper told us that he was “gassed” to be experiencing his first festival – and it showed. Other highlights included Harlem rapper Princess Nokia blessing us with an a cappella of Blink 182’s I Miss You and, of course, our headliner Fever Ray who delivered a provocative, theatrical performance animated by her singular, subversive vision.
