The latest mix for the Crack Mix series sees full-fat techno make a welcome return. Having secured himself an album deal on Tiga’s Turbo label, a staple specialising in the more uncompromising strand of the genre, Glaswegian Sei A has taken the bull by the horns.

Featuring cuts from labels as diverse as Kompakt Records, Hypercolour and his very own Mercy Bass on Turbo, this is a mix high on rugged energy and a consistent attention grabber. Plodding industrial bashes and beats rub up against warped sound effects and windy techno rhythms whilst retaining a firm commitment to the 4/4. It’s perfect peak-time dance floor ammunition.
