Crack Mix 460:
Pretty Sneaky

Pop Experimental Ambient Synth Dub Reggae

Pretty Sneaky is a project shrouded in mystery.

Over the past five years, the supposedly Berlin-based act, perhaps known as ‘Sneaky’ to their pals, have put out a vital run of records via their own label, while also dropping by Meakusma and Mana with standout releases that include an eponymous debut album. Containing four lengthy compositions, the latter record phased between broken techno, dub, ambient, free jazz and lapses of vivid found sounds, establishing their free-form methodology.

On their Crack Mix, Pretty Sneaky manage to sneak in a little bit of everything – no pun intended. Pulling from a clearly far-reaching knowledge of electronic music, we’re presented with a generous and unpredictable blend of nocturnal ambient, classic rub-a-dub, synth pop and stacks more. This one’s a treat.

Pretty Sneaky play Meakusma Festival, Eupen, on 1-4 September
