Tom Trago is a producer, DJ and label head with enduring ties to the Amsterdam dance music scene.
Since breaking through in 2006 with his debut single Live with The BBQ – released via Rush Hour – Trago has released a smattering of records with the revered local imprint while also stepping out on Dekmantel, Shoebox and his own label Jong Nederlands. All of the aforementioned play home to Trago’s uplifting club jams that encompass house, disco and the Crayola box of shades and hues nestled within these genres.
For his first Crack Mix, Trago dials in a vinyl-only offering that provides a slice of warm, vibrant and sunkissed escapism just in time for his appearance at Puglia’s Polifonic Festival. Speaking on the entry, which features tracks from house heroes Ron Trent and Soichi Terada, among others, Trago described it as an encapsulation of the “late-night emotions of the Bari area [in Puglia, Italy]”.
