For Ken Carson, it’s all about learning – and leading – by example.

The Atlanta rapper, a signee of Playboi Carti’s Opium label, favours a low-key-yet-lively sound as primed for moshpits as it is at-home hangouts. Fan-favourites including 2020’s Teen X EP (featuring the impossibly catchy Yale) and 2022’s debut album X speak directly to the city he hails from – and the cohort of artists, such as Carti, who’ve left their own distinctive marks on a vital home city scene.

It’s no wonder, then, that 22-year-old Carson has already connected with a generation of devotees eager to hear what’s next from the rapper, whose last single, the romantically-inclined i need u, landed on Valentine’s Day.

Last month, Carson touched down in London for a pair of sell-out shows as part of an eagerly anticipated European tour. While in London, fans were offered a chance to get their hands on some Carson merch through a tour-based Discord giveaway, with coordinates teased out via his server.

Crack was there to document the merch scavenger hunts, and catch up with fans prior to the shows. Check out the video alongside a visual diary from Carson’s last night in London, at Hackney’s EartH, below.
