It’s been announced that on 27 April, Blur will release The Magic Whip – their first album since 2003’s Think Tank. The band first started working on the record while in Hong Kong following the cancellation of a gig in Japan. The news came via a livestreamed interview with Zane Lowe, which took place in a Chinese Restaurant in London (today is the first day of Chinese New Year). You can see The Magic Whip’s cover art above and the tracklisting below along with a lyric video for Go Out.
Blur have also confirmed that they’ll be playing in London’s Hyde Park on 20 June.
