Watch an avant garde soviet-era film soundtracked by Nicolas Jaar

Nicolas Jaar dropped some brand new music last night. The producer posted an hour long score to a 1969 avant-garde Armenian film called The Colour Of Pomegranates on his label, Other People’s YouTube account.

The film itself was seen as controversial on it’s release due to religious imagery and was mostly barred from release beyond Armenia and the soviet union. You can watch the film alongside Jaar’s soundtrack below.
