The singer’s stage name will now be on his official ID.
Last year, the man born Christopher Edwin Breaux applied to have his name legally changed to Frank Ocean, but his request was initially denied on the grounds that he had some unpaid tickets and a suspended driver’s licence.
But following the approval of a judge in Los Angeles yesterday (23 April), Frank Ocean is now officially called Frank Ocean. The name now appears on his legal documents, and presumably in the credits of his forthcoming album and magazine, which are due for a July release.
