Last night, Geoff Barrow suggested that he’s received just £1700 income after tax from around 34,000,000 streams across various platforms.
Barrow named Spotify, Youtube and Apple in a series of tweets about the issue last night. He also insinuated that Universal Music Group were “especially” responsible for selling music he’s worked on “so cheaply”.
Barrow is a member of Portishead and BEAK>, and he runs the record label Invada. He also composed the Ex Machina soundtrack with Ben Salisbury. The soundtrack was released earlier this year via Invada.
