See how Battles make music in a new mini-documentary made in conjunction with Ableton
Battles’ new album La Di Da Di was announced this week and the band have shared an Ableton-made behind-the-scenes documentary that gives us some clue of how the album might sound. The doc as well follows them onstage, into the recording studio, and into their NYC and Pawtucket rehearsal rooms as La Di Da Di comes together.
In the doc, The Art of Repetition, the band reveal that looping is of utmost importance, how most of their composing is done apart, and why having the right recording studio is key.
