As teased by some beautifully-packaged adverts last week, the EP is now definitely on the way
Aphex Twin has announced the follow-up to last year’s Orphaned DJ Selek (2006-2008) with a website to match the sleek print advertising that was sent out to record stores last week.
The website continues the references to the vintage synthesiser Cheetah MS-6 that were seen in the print ads, and reveals the release date for the EP as 8 July. It also seems to invite remixes to be sent to record label Warp: “Have fun programming, and if you create any superb patches and tones which you feel deserve to be appreciated by other Cheetah EP buyers, send a MIDI System Exclusive Dump of them, on a disc to us at WARP and if we also think they are superb, you could be rewarded for your efforts. Try us!” it reads.
