Portishead’s Geoff Barrow offers to record fans’ music for charity

The Portishead and Beak> musician is raising funds for a charity football match, the highest bidder will win a session at Barrow’s Invada Studios

Portishead’s Geoff Barrow has offered up an opportunity like no other for fans of his music. The Bristolian musician is set to take part in a charity football match this month (24 July) and is raising sponsorship money for Breast Cancer Care through JustGiving. The highest bidder, he says, will be given the chance to record with him in his Bristol based recording hub Invada Studios. Barrow will provide production and assistance to the winner for a whole day. So far the highest bid stands at £1,000 so if you fancy stumping up the cash this very rare opportunity could still be yours for the taking.

We’re no strangers to Geoff’s Invada Studios as we’ve recorded a number of bands and artists there for our Invada Sessions. Check them out over at Crack TV and see James Holden in action in the player above.
