Glastonbury will relocate in 2019

BBC are reporting that Glastonbury Festival will take place at a new location in 2019.

A new site 100 miles away (towards the Midlands) will host the 175,000+ ticket-holders to protect Worthy Farm and give it a chance to recover.

This hasn’t been officially announced by the event yet but Michael Eavis told the BBC, “I’m arranging to move the show [but] it would be a huge loss to Somerset if it went there forever.”

The news of a 2019 relocation follows the October announcement that Radiohead will headline The Pyramid Stage on Friday night, for the first time since 2003.
