The innovative composer turned up to the Oscars in a wonderful two-piece ensemble
Check out the Crack-approved getup Mica Levi wore to the Oscars last night (26 February). The indie-musician-turned-composer wore a two-piece brown suit with the hem of the trousers rolled up. It looked slightly ill-fitted and we dig it.
The composer was nominated Best Original Score for producing the soundtrack for Jackie. She’s the fifth ever woman to compete in the category at the Oscars.
The awards ceremony is undoubtedly a big night for fashion, as well as film. Traditionally, female stars turn up to the Oscars in couture gowns. And immediately, the internet is flooded with updates on who wore what. It’s an important date for designers too who get the credit, and careers can be launched overnight; sales are boosted. It’s worth noting that months are spent tailoring the fit to each individual.
We don’t know which designer Mica Levi is wearing or whether it’s her own suit from her wardrobe. Did she even buy it in her size? What can be said is the woman is certainly defying conventions at the Oscars with this getup.
