Grimes’ Visions to be reinterpreted as part of a classical concert series

By 13 composers, no less

Montreal pop and classical group Plumes will be interpreting Grimes’ 2012 album Visions. The classical reimagining will be for the group’s concert series, titled Many Visions: Plumes Deconstructs the Music of Grimes.

Shows will be taking place in Canada this month, with the tour beginning this week (10 March) in Montreal, Quebec, and finishing on 21 March in Vancouver.

And the artist herself is no stranger to classical music. The singer-songwriter and producer has previously expressed an interest in ballet on KEXP, explaining that this intrigue led to her fascination with composers such as Igor Stravinsky.
