Glastonbury will hold a minute’s silence to honour victims of London and Manchester events

Glastonbury Festival

Organisers will open the festival with a minute’s silence tomorrow, at 10.40am

In honour of the recent Grenfell Tower fire and attack at Manchester Arena after an Ariana Grande concert, the Worthy Farm festival will begin with a minute of silence tomorrow morning (22 June) at the Pyramid stage.

79 people are presumed dead from the Grenfell Tower fire in west London. Recently, grime MC AJ Tracey called the government out on its lack of response to victims.

On 22 May, a suicide bomber detonated an explosive device at Manchester Arena, killing 22 people and injuring 116. Manchester’s Meat Free DJs will be linking up with High Hoops to host the One Love fundraiser, with all profits going towards the attack appeal.
