Here’s how you can watch Björk’s new film The Gate for free

Her latest single is out this month

Following on from the announcement of her new single The Gate yesterday (6 September), the Icelandic icon has revealed that she’ll be screening the accompanying film on 16 and 17 September – and it’s free to watch.

Created in conjunction with longtime visual collaborator Andrew Thomas Huang, Gucci’s creative director Alessandro Michele and contemporary embroidery artist James Merry, The Gate will be showing at London’s The Store Studios from 10am to 6pm (BST). Hosted by Nowness, the film is open to the public and admission is free.

The track’s digital download will be made available to purchase on 18 September, with a 12-inch vinyl dropping on 22 September via One Little Indian Records.

Earlier this year, she announced that a new album would be released “very soon”. On her new single, she said, “The Gate is essentially a love song, but I say ‘love’ in a more transcendent way. Vulnicura was about a very personal loss, and I think this new album is about a love that’s even greater. It’s about rediscovering love – but in a spiritual way, for lack of a better word.”
