In August 1969, the likes of Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Grateful Dead and The Who performed at the seminal Woodstock festival, which reportedly attracted around half a million people.
Consequence of Sound have pointed towards some archived documents which are believed to list the artists’ fees. Hendrix sits at the top of the list at $18,000, while Boston rockers Quill were reportedly paid $375 for their set. Read the full list below.
