California thrash icons Slayer have released a ‘Visualiser Video’ for Repentless, the title-track from the band’s upcoming 11th studio album, and their first since the death of founding member, guitarist Jeff Hanneman, in 2013.
The video merges live footage with shots of the song’s recording process, set to a pummelling thrash metal track with current drummer Paul Bostaph on particularly sparkling form, and Kerry King revelling in one of his signature searing leads. Despite the loss of one of their formative member and their advances years, Slayer show no signs of succumbing to nostalgia: the album’s controversy-courting artwork was revealed earlier this week, while a recent interview saw King refer to his deceased friend as “worm food”.
