New club De School to open in Amsterdam

De School is the brainchild of former Trouw staff

Rumours have been floating about for a while now about a new club from former Trouw staff members. We can now announce that De School is set to open in December after an official recommendation from Amsterdam’s mayor.

In an official statement Amsterdam municipality have revealed that the Mayor has given the recommendation to the General Affairs Commision of city Council for the club to go ahead.

Although the club has not yet obtained a license it looks set to be located in a disused school’s bicycle storage unit in West Amsterdam. It will have a capacity of around 500 and, like Trouw, will have a temporary licence to open for five years. It joins a host of new 24-hour premises set to open in Amsterdam in the near future.
