Conceptual Romance encompasses sing-song harmonies, delicate synths, and Hval’s signature thought-provoking lyricism, bringing Hval’s sometimes esoteric meditations down to earth.
Hval has previously explained her forthcoming album as “an investigation of blood. Blood that is shed naturally. The white and red toilet roll chain which ties together the virgins, the whores, the mothers, the witches, the dreamers, and the lovers.”
