Dean Blunt discusses his three day festival featuring bell hooks

Blunt also says he’s working on an opera

In our new cover feature, London artists Dean Blunt and GAIKA came together to discuss east London’s gentrification, Donald Trump and Blunt’s reasons for not planning further UK shows among other topics.

During their conversation, Blunt revealed his plans to host a three day festival next May featuring a lecture from the legendary feminist author and activist bell hooks, as well as African martial arts classes taught by Triumph Allah – a member of his Babyfather group. “Got nuff people playing,” Blunt said of the event.
