The Music Box is coming to London’s Southbank in September
London will be getting another music venue, it has been revealed. This morning (13 March), London College of Creative Media announced plans to open a 200-capacity venue on the Southbank.
Created as a creative space for LCCM students to practice and perform, The Music Box will host two to three gigs and club nights a week.
“The Music Box will offer students a truly impressive and inspiring new study, practice and performance space kitted out with the latest technology across six spacious floors,” explains the LCCM website.
“In a troubling time for live music fans across the capital – which continues to see more closures of legendary grassroots music venues – LCCM’s new building will also be the home to a brand new performance venue dedicated to hosting exclusive masterclass sessions from passing musical legends, and so further fuelling inspiration to the students above.”
The venue will be opening in September.
