Dave Chappelle is making his long-awaited return to broadcasted standup on 21 March, with two comedy specials premiering on Netflix.
Dave Chappelle: The Age of Spin (filmed at Los Angeles’ Palladium in March 2016) and Dave Chappelle: Deep in the Heart of Texas (Austin City Limits, April 2015) will land on the streaming services worldwide in one week.
To tease the arrival, Netflix have shared a trailer for both specials which you can watch above. It features snippets of brand new material and uses A Tribe Called Quest’s We The People…. as its soundtrack.
It’s not the first time Chappelle has paired up with Tribe, they were the musical guest on Saturday Night Live when he hosted the show back in November. You can watch highlights of that show via Spin.
On the show, Chappelle performed a touching monologue about Trump’s election and resurrected some of the characters from Chappelle’s Show.
