New ‘Grime 4 Corbyn’ website urges people to register to vote

They’re offering tickets to a secret party in London if you register

Ever since the snap general election was announced for 8 June, grime MCs – including JME, Novelist, AJ Tracey and Akala – have voiced their support for the Labour leader on Twitter. Pro-Corbyn posters have since appeared around London connecting the politician with the artists, and last weekend, JME took to Corbyn’s snapchat feed to urge viewers to register to vote.

Now, a website has emerged linking Corbyn to the grime scene once again, complete with images of tweets from the grime MCs and a Corbyn meme. A Soundcloud stream for the track Corbyn Riddim produced by DA has been embedded. The site, Grime 4 Corbyn, encourages people to register to vote and those who do so may be able to cop a pair of tickets to a secret party in London. The date and venue is yet to be confirmed.

Those who are unable to vote can contact the organisers via the site, who’ve said, “We’ll make sure you can take part.”

Click here to register to vote. Registration closes at 11:59PM on 22 May.
