Glastonbury Emerging Talent Competition Now Open For Entries

Glastonbury festival’s annual emerging talent competition is now accepting entries

The competition is free to enter and gives emerging artists the opportunity to perform on one of the main stages at the festival and the chance to win a £5,000 PRS for Music Foundation Talent Development Prize. There is also a smaller PRS development prize of £2,500 for the two runners-up.

The 2015 competition is open for one week from today and will end at 5pm on Monday 26 January. The entrants for the competition must provide a link to an original song on SoundCloud and a video of themselves playing live. Entries are to be sent to the official website.

The entries will be judged by a panel of 40 of the UK’s top music journalists who will compile a list of 120 entries which will be trimmed down to a shorter list of 8 artists by a panel including Michael Eavis himself. The live finals will take place at Pilton Working Men’s Club in April to choose the winner.
