Richard Long presents first Bristol show in 15 years

The award winning artist returns to his hometown

Turner prize winning land artist Richard Long is set to hang his first exhibition in his native Bristol for the first time in 15 years. He will be recreating his famous piece Ireland, a series of concentric circles on a beach which was inevitably washed away by the waves, for the exhibition. It is also set to include a new drawing on the gallery’s wall made using mud from the River Avon.

Time and Space runs from July – November at Bristol’s Arnolfini as part of the city’s year as European green capital. It also coincides with the Arnolfini’s new partnership with the University of the West of England which will see the two intuitions sharing resources to produce more art events, exhibitions and workshops in the harbourside.
