Sonar has added more acts to its 2015 line-up. Among the new names are polarising dubstep figurehead Skrillex, Brummie outfit Duran Duran and future shock chanteuse FKA twigs. Vulnicura producer Arca will also perform, joined by visual collaborator Jesse Kanda, as well as Jamie xx, Róisín Murphy and South African rap unit Die Antwoord.
The 22nd edition of the Barcelona festival, the event will run from 18 to 20 June. The new names join the likes of The Chemical Brothers, performing ahead of their new studio album set for release in 2015. Other live acts in the line-up include Kindness, Kate Tempest and Fat Freddy’s Drop, while the rest of the line-up includes the likes of Autechre, Evian Christ, Daniel Avery, SOPHIE, Ten Walls, Lee Gamble, Holly Herndon, Kiasmos, Vessel and Helena Hauff. In the lead up to the Barcelona edition, several satellite Sónar festivals will also take place across Johannesburg, Reykjavik, Stockholm and Copenhagen.
