Today it’s been announced that this year’s Meltdown Festival will be curated by David Byrne. This year’s event marks Meltdown’s 22nd year, and it will take place 17-28 August at London’s Southbank Centre.
Previous Meltdown directors include Yoko Ono, Scott Walker, Nick Cave, John Peel, Patti Smith, Lee “Scratch” Perry, James Lavelle and Massive Attack. Details regarding this year’s David Byrne-curated line-up will be announced in the coming months.
