Mark Ronson attacked by a swarm of bees during interview

Brass-loving hit-maker Mark Ronson recently had to run from a swarm of aggressive bees while doing an outdoor interview in Los Angeles, The Sun reports.

While speaking to Radio 1 DJ Jameela Jamil on the grounds of a mansion in Hollywood Hills, the swarm reportedly headed for a nearby smorgasbord of food that had been prepared for Ronson. “This huge cloud started coming towards us and we couldn’t work out what it was,” Jamil explained. “It turned out to be the biggest swarm of killer bees that I’ve ever seen. They descended on the buffet. We had literally seconds to run into the house and get behind the glass.”

“It was the most scared I’ve ever been,” she added. “I didn’t know what it was and then suddenly I was like, ‘Oh my God, it’s killer bees! Those are killer bees!’ I just ran, food flew everywhere and I destroyed the whole set. It was terrifying. We were both there and we just ran for it,” she said. “Neither of us tried to save each other. It was every man for himself. It was like, 500 bees. It was horrible. I would never have left a man down, but we both turned into Usain Bolt then.”

Mark Ronson is headlining a gig organised by Why Not People?, which is an organisation ran by Jamil that aims to improve the access of gigs, events and club nights for people with disabilities. More info on that can be found here.
