Howling Owl records roster just keeps on getting better. The Bristol label’s largest success to date came last year in the form of a critically lauded album from local artist Oliver Wilde and the new record from Something Anorak treads a similarly well crafted, DIY path.
The video for Boy Without A Friend is a b-movie horror indebted clip that features some cameos from many other members of Howling Owl’s roster including Oliver Wilde himself and members of Tara Clerkin Band and Bristol indie enigmas Taos Humm as they are hunted by a masked maniac.
The clip has been directed by the omnipresent Olo Worms member and Rise Records mainstay James Hankins. It’s basically a perfectly gory celebration of all things Bristol and all things Howling Owl. Check it out below and be warned, it’s rad and dangerous in equal measure.
