The band posted their support on Twitter
One-time indie rock stars The Rifles have allegedly back Nigel Farage’s controversial right-wing political party through their Twitter account. As is often the case with controversial tweets the tweet has since been deleted.
The internet’s no fool though, and MJ from Hookworms was on the ball enough to share this screengrab for your consideration.
this looks like i’m being rude now they deleted their tweet, but don’t worry @theriflesband, i got a screen grab! pic.twitter.com/fiTqz5FjDf

The band have since responded to the tweet with a follow up stating that they are not to blame.

Seems like there’s two sides to this story. We’ll let you be the judge.
UPDATE: Here’s another tweet from the band:
We've had an issue with our twitter account, why anyone would hack us is beyond on us. thanks to those showing us the vote of confidence X
