Virgin Money to launch Sex Pistols credit cards

In case you cared, The Sex Pistols credit cards have an average rate of 18.9% APR.

Richard Branson has teamed up with The Sex Pistols to create a series of punk themed credit cards. The cards, one of which is pictured above, will contains the band’s logo, artwork and song titles such as Anarchy In The UK and Never Mind The Bollocks. Apparently.

The association between Virgin and The Sex Pistols is actually a longstanding one. Branson signed the band to Virgin Records back in 1977 and Virgin Money’s director of cards Michael Greene has said “In launching these cards, we wanted to celebrate Virgin’s heritage and difference. The Sex Pistols challenged convention and the established ways of thinking – just as we are doing today in our quest to shake up UK banking.” With Branson adding that, “Even after nearly 40 years, the Sex Pistols’ power to provoke is undimmed.”

We look forward to getting ourselves into piles of steaming punk rock debt. God Save The Queen yeah?
