The rapper has dropped a new single while he’s being detained at the DeKalb County jail.
Young Thug has shared Pacifier – the first single from his highly-anticipated debut album Hy!£UN35 (pronounced “HiTunes”). The track is produced by Mike WiLL Made-It, Pierre Ramon Slaughter, Larrance Dopson and Chris “Brody” Brown, and you can check it out below.
Hy!£UN35 is due to be released on 28 August via 300 Entertainment/Atlantic. However, the 22-year-old’s new legal issues are likely to complicate things.
Earlier this week, Young Thug (real name Jeffrey Williams) was arrested in the Atlanta area on charges of making “terrorist threats” after he allegedly threatened to shoot a mall security guard in the face. News sources then got hold of an indictment which suspects Young Thug and his mentor Birdman of conspiring to kill Lil Wayne – referring to an incident on 26 April when Thug’s former road manager Jimmy Winfrey fired shots at Wayne’s tour bus and made phone calls to Thug and Birdman before and after the shooting respectively. On top of all this, Thug is now facing multiple felony charges after police found drugs and weapons while raiding his Atlanta home.
Young Thug is scheduled to play his first UK show at London’s Islington Academy on 27 August.
