Ninja Tune to receive Innovator Award

The label will be celebrated at AIM’s Independent Music Awards

Visionary London independent label, Ninja Tune, will be presented with the prestigious AIM Innovator Award this year. The award recognises anyone that is expanding the horizons of independent music. Last year’s recipient was Hyperdub founder Kode9.

“It’s a real honour to get this award,” said More, one of the label bosses. “AIM is so crucial in fighting the indie labels corner – making that collective voice heard where it counts. We started Ninja Tune with a firm belief of being 100% independent. That belief has not changed after all these years.”

Lee Bannon’s Pattern of Excel was recently released on Ninja Tune. Read our feature with Bannon here.
