The Libertines return with their first album in 11 years.
British indie-rock icons The Libertines have confirmed they will be returning with a new album entitled Anthems For Doomed Youth this year. It follows a string of live dates across the UK and Europe including a surprise set at this year’s Glastonbury.
A new single called Gunga Din is also on the way and will be available to buy from tomorrow but premieres tonight on Annie Mac at 7.30 on BBC Radio 1.
Anthems For Doomed Youth was recorded by Jake Gosling at Karma Sound Studios in Thailand were frontman Pete Doherty recently underwent a lengthy rehabilitation from drugs. The album will be released on 8 September via Virgin/EMI and you can preorder it here.
