New movie Eden explores French touch house music

In a fresh twist on the current explosion of dance music based films Eden looks set to be an insightful look into the world of DJ culture. The film follows Parisian teenager Paul as he drops out of mainstream society to follow his dreams of kickstarting the Garage house scene in France with the help of his friends, drugs and endless nightclubs.

A gritty take on the realities of club culture set in the haze of the mid 90s French touch house revolution. The film is based on the experiences of director, Mia Hansen-Løve’s brother and has a soundtrack featuring Frankie Knuckles, Daft Punk, Liquid and more.

To celebrate the film’s release, Bristol’s Watershed are hosting a free party in the bar on Fri 24 July – with an evening of classic garage and house music from Bedmo Disco’s Sell By Dave and Damien Schneider, co-founder of Onnset and Apologue Records.

If it sounds like it’s up your street and you’d like free cinema tickets to attend the film’s opening night on 24 July at Bristol’s Watershed all you have to do is answer one simple question…

A) Etienne De Crécy
