Morrissey announces first novel, List of the Lost

The title should be available in the UK from late September

Following his successful if ever so slightly self-indulgent first book, Autobiography, the UK’s favourite flower-chewing provocateur is back this autumn with a fictional offering.

Morrissey’s first novel will, like Autobiography, be released by Penguin (though not on the Classics imprint this time round) and will be available in the UK from late next month.

The news was released by fansite, True to You, who confirmed:

“Morrissey’s first novel, List of the Lost, will be published by Penguin Books (UK) at the end of September. The book will be issued in softcover/paperback as a New Fiction title, and comes almost two years after Morrissey’s very successful Autobiography publication of October 2013.

Penguin Books will confirm an on sale date within this coming week. List of the Lost will be available in the UK, Ireland, Australia, India, New Zealand and South Africa.”

Morrissey recently spoke to Larry King in his first sit-down interview in ten years, covering topics as diverse as Donald Trump, his cancer diagnosis, and a TSA groping incident. See the interview in full below.
